MINI FACTS!

Organic East African Shea Butter (Vitellaria nilotica), is highly nourishing and is remarkably effective in healing dry and cracked skin, eczema, psoriasis and sun damaged skin. Its high content of non-saponifiables and unique fatty acid profile gives it the ability to moisturize and retain the elasticity of the skin. East African shea butter is produced in Northern Uganda.

HOW IS IT DIFFERENT FROM WEST AFRICAN SHEA BUTTER?
It is far superior in texture, nutritive value and aroma than shea butter produced in West Africa. This Shea Butter  offers a significantly higher content of olein, a glyceride of oleic acid. Heavenly Shea is also softer and creamier than West African Shea Butter, and it is more readily absorbed into the skin and hair. This butter also possesses a lighter, more pleasant aroma than West African Shea Butter.

DID YOU KNOW?

The Shea butter tree is also called the Tree of Life. Why you ask? The Shea tree can live up to 300 years. Although it takes about 15-20 years to bear fruit, the tree doesn't reach maturity and maximum fruit capacity until its 50th years. It has been called "Women's Gold" because extracting the butter gives employment and income to rural African village women and farmers.
